Food and Renters Assistance
City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program

Information and Eligibility
The Los Angeles City Emergency Renters Assistance Subsidy Program will provide a temporary rent subsidy for eligible residential tenants in the City of Los Angeles who are unable to pay rent due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The subsidy will provide a grant of up to $1,000 per month to cover the monthly lease rent (based on the rent paid as of March 1, 2020), with a maximum of $2,000 per household. The rent subsidy will be paid directly to the tenant’s landlord on the tenant’s behalf. This program will be available to renters of multifamily rental housing who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Residents of the City of Los Angeles, regardless of immigration status. To verify if you live in the City of Los Angeles, go to: neighborhoodinfo.lacity.org;
- Households that can provide proof of tenancy;
- Household annual income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) level prior to the COVID-19 crisis; and

Long Beach Community Table:
Long Beach Community Table is providing food for as many people in need as possible during this current crisis, throughout the Long Beach/Signal Hill/Lakewood area. We offer Food Pickups during specific hours each week and Homebound Deliveries of supplemental groceries every Sunday night for qualified homebound residents who are unable to visit our facility in person. Once you submit the form, you do not need to reapply each week.
TO QUALITY FOR DELIVERIES, YOU MUST BE A SENIOR, IMMUNE-COMPROMISED, DISABLED, OR FINANCIALLY DISTRESSED WITH NO OPTION TO PICK UP FOOD AT OUR FACILITY, AND MUST RESIDE WITHIN OUR SERVICE AREA.
Home deliveries are made each Sunday night between approximately 6:00 and 8:00 pm or sometimes later, depending on our volunteer resources. NEW applications received after the 5:00pm Saturday cutoff time will be processed the following week.
LONG BEACH CARES RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Long Beach CARES Emergency Rental Assistance (LB CARES) program provides emergency rental assistance grants to Long Beach households that are income-eligible and have been economically impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic through job loss, furlough, or reduction in hours or pay.

Please read all program materials carefully before proceeding with the application. Incomplete applications will not be processed. All applications must be submitted by postal mail or delivered in-person at City Hall. Online submissions will not be accepted.
