You are invited to attend an educational seminar on Dementia & Alzheimer’s Disease as it relates to individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). The transition from adulthood to aging with a disability presents many challenges and questions related to diagnosis, long-term care planning, and medical issues.

● Identify how dementia may appear different in adults with I/DD
● Apply the information to better provide supports to adults with I/DD affected by dementia.
● Recognize the physical, cognitive and behavioral changes typical of the aging process, and
● Identify how these changes may appear in someone with I/DD
