College 2 Career-copy
An HRC Program to Help You Attend College!
2014 Orientation Sessions:
The College 2 Career Program is an innovative post-secondary program for adults with developmental disabilities served by Harbor Regional Center. C2C offers an exciting opportunity to experience community college, student housing, and college life.
The College 2 Career Program provides extra educational coaching support not otherwise available through the College, for selected students who are clients of a regional center. The program has a residential component in which the students also receive support and training in the development of skills needed to live independently in the community. Both the educational and he living supports are funded by the regional center.
Each student is required to enroll in a certificate or degree program. Students who complete the program and receive their degree or certificate are also assisted in finding employment.
- The Educational Experience will assist each student to create and implement an educational plan based on the student's desired educational and employment goal, provide academic supports in and out of the classroom, and assist with participation with all aspects of student campus life.
- The Living Experience will allow students to live in affordable student housing close to campus, with 24 hour emergency staff availability, independent living training and support, and support for experiencing typical college experiences.
The College 2 Career Program is accepting applications throughout the year. All interested applicants and parents must attend a C2C orientation before applying. We will conduct C2C Orientations on the following dates:
