Guidelines for Early Start Therapeutic Services: OT/PT

Harbor Regional Center is accepting applications for the following:
Service code: 116 Early Start Therapeutic services which includes Occupational (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) Services
Reimbursement: $90.00 per clinical hour. A clinical hour is defined as a 50 minute session working directly with the child and family with 10 minutes allowed for daily notes
Location: The natural environment of the child which is typically the home setting. Clinical settings may be used if prior approval is given by HRC.
Areas: Wilmington, Harbor City, San Pedro, Carson, Norwalk, Bellflower, Artesia and Long Beach
Service Description:
Early Start Therapeutic services are developed to offer support and education to families who have a child under three years of age exhibiting a significant delay in one or more of the following stages of development: cognition, communication, motor, adaptive and social-emotional skills. OT and PT services are also provided to high risk infants as well as young children with a developmental disability, such as autism, cerebral palsy and/or intellectual disability often associated with a genetic disorder.
Qualifications: Occupational and Physical therapists must possess a current CA license, individual liability insurance and have at least one year of experience working with children 0-3 years of age. Prior experience conducting developmental evaluations, such as the Bayley 4 and DAY-C testing instruments is preferred. The ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.
Applicants responding to this LOI who are currently vendored providers for HRC or any other regional center must have services in good standing.
