Understanding Your Child’s ADHD & How It Relates to Developmental Disabilities

There are few topics that have received as much attention as ADHD in recent years and it is still not well understood.  The picture becomes even murkier when we consider developmental disabilities, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  This presentation strives to provide a basic understanding of what is known about ADHD, how it is associated with developmental disabilities, and what treatment considerations are currently available. 

The presentation focuses on attentional problems more so than issues related to hyperactivity because of their prevalence in developmental disorders and their pervasive ability to disrupt basic life functions.
