Discovery as a Process

The HCBS Settings Rule redefines, in a dramatic way, how services and supports are given to those with IDD. Providers who offer day-to-day supports are still struggling with how to practically apply the new expectations of the Settings Rule.
~ How do you support someone who lives in a residential setting who wants to have their partner over to visit behind a locked bedroom door?
~ Can you restrict food for a person you support who is on a restricted diet?

Balancing greater autonomy with health and welfare can be tricky. This training will help provider staff approach these complex situations using a framework rooted in person-centered approaches.
