The Saturday Speaker Series offers presentations that cover topics that are relevant to all of our families and service providers. They are presented by HRC staff who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their areas of expertise. Presentations are scheduled on Saturday mornings for the convenience of self-advocates, families, and service providers. Participants will have the opportunity to view the presentation and ask questions.
HCBS and My Rights is a two-hour, virtual training that will educate adults receiving services on how the HCBS Final Rules might impact your day to day life. This training will also offer you tools for self-advocacy. Your choice, independence, and privacy matter! Let’s talk about them!
Currently, all offerings will be scheduled as Zoom meetings.
Interpretation services are available upon request by advance reservation only, at least five (5) or more business days in advance of the event and at the time of RSVP.

La serie de oradores de los sábados (Saturday Speaker Series) ofrece presentaciones que cubren temas que son relevantes para todas nuestras familias y proveedores de servicios. Son presentados por el personal del HRC, que tiene un gran conocimiento y experiencia en sus áreas de especialización. Las presentaciones se programan los sábados por la mañana para mayor comodidad de los autodefensores, las familias y los proveedores de servicios. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de ver la presentación y hacer preguntas.
“HCBS y mis derechos” es una capacitación virtual de dos horas que educará a los adultos que reciben servicios sobre cómo las normas finales del HCBS pueden afectar su vida cotidiana. Esta capacitación también le ofrecerá herramientas para la autodefensa. Su elección, independencia y privacidad son importantes. ¡Hablemos de ellas!
Actualmente, todas las ofertas se programarán como reuniones por Zoom.
Esta presentación será en inglés. Los servicios de interpretación estarán disponibles bajo petición, únicamente mediante reserva anticipada, al menos cinco (5) o más días hábiles antes del evento y en el momento de confirmar la asistencia.
