Understanding Your Child’s Big Emotions

Presented by Hilda Bracamontes-Colon, HRC Early Childhood Specialist

Family Training

All children experience big emotions which can lead to a child acting out. Parents can feel blindsided by the child’s big emotion and may not know what to do.  In this workshop, parents will learn strategies to support their child’s social-emotional development.  Strategies will include: connecting before redirecting, rethinking discipline, providing the five critical needs, The ACT Method, and activities that promote healthy social-emotional development. Parents will leave feeling more confident, and with strategies to put in their parent toolbox.

This presentation will be held via Zoom.
